7ly Social is a tool that marketing agencies use to plan, approve and publish posts on the social networks of the brands they manage (their "clients"). This policy explains what information 7ly Social handles, why, and what control you have over it.
Who is responsible
Each agency that uses 7ly Social is responsible for the client data it adds. 7ly Social processes that data on the agency's behalf to provide the service. For any question contact the agency that manages your brand, or the 7ly Social team through the agency.
What we collect
- Team accounts: name, work email, password (stored as a one-way hash), passkeys, two-step settings, time zone and the actions each person takes, kept as an activity history.
- Clients and reviewers: the brand name, logo, time zone and the names and emails of the people who approve posts. Reviewers do not need an account.
- Connected social profiles: when someone connects a Facebook Page, an Instagram professional account, a Threads profile or a TikTok account, we receive from that network the profile's id, name, username, profile picture and an access key (token). Tokens are stored encrypted and are never shown to anyone.
- Content: the text, photos and videos uploaded to the library, the posts and their schedule, comments and approval decisions.
- Profile data for previews and reports: the profile's recent public posts (caption, image or cover, date and counts of likes, comments and views) and audience figures such as followers, so the phone preview can show a new post inside the account's real feed and the reports can show growth.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and error reports needed to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To publish what the agency schedules, at the time it chooses, on the networks it connects.
- To show previews, the calendar, approvals and reports inside 7ly Social.
- To send the emails the service needs: invitations, review links, alerts and reminders.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use data received from Meta, Instagram, Threads or TikTok for any purpose other than providing the features above to the agency that connected the profile.
Data from social networks
7ly Social only requests the permissions it needs to publish and to read the basic profile information and recent posts described above. We access that data only while the profile stays connected and only on behalf of the agency that connected it. Use of information received from Meta and TikTok follows the Meta Platform Terms, the Instagram and Threads policies and the TikTok Developer Terms.
Who we share it with
- The social networks themselves, when publishing or reading what the agency asked for.
- Service providers that host the platform and deliver emails, bound by confidentiality and used only to run the service.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Access tokens are deleted as soon as a profile is disconnected.
- Content, library files and history stay while the agency's account is active and are deleted within 30 days after the account is closed.
- Error reports and security logs are kept for up to 12 months.
Your choices and rights
You can disconnect a profile at any time from 7ly Social (Clients › Connections) or from the network's own settings. You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data. See how to delete your data.
Security
Connections use HTTPS, tokens are encrypted at rest, passwords are hashed, and every account's data is kept separate from the others.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above.
